    SQL Server 2005 express läßt sich nicht installieren ...

    Hallo miteinander,

    komme bei folgendem Problem nicht weiter :

    Der Versuch den "SQL-Server 2005 express" zu installieren endet immer mit folgender Fehlermeldung :

    Der ... kann nicht installiert werden weil inkompatible Beta.Versionen von Visual Studio, .NET-Framework oder SQL-Server 2005 express gefunden wurden .

    Der Rat diese über 'Einstellung > Software ' zu deinstallieren schlägt fehl da dort keineerlei Beta-Versionen mehr vorhanden sind. Es stimmt allerdings daß auf dem Rechner ursprünglich einmal Beta-Versionen eben dieser Programme installiert waren. Wie kann ich nun diverse Reste entfernen. Bin da nach ewiger Probiererei so ziemlich am Ende.

    Hallo,

    von Microsoft gibt es dazu das 480 kB große Tool vs_uninst_betas.exe, das über die URL http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=47598 herunter geladen werden kann.

      Hallo Herr Kosch,

      vielen Dank für Ihren Tip ! Das Tool hatte ich bereits "laufen lassen" . Es sagt mir auch daß eine Anwendung deinstalliert wurde, jedoch nicht welche. Der erneute Installationsversuch zeigte die gleichen Meldungen wie oben beschrieben.

        wenn das Tool nicht greift, bleibt nur den manuelle Weg übrig:

        Uninstalling Previous Versions of Visual Studio 2005 Express Editions

        Go to the Control Panel and launch Add/Remove Programs
        Remove "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition"
        Remove "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Tools Express Edition"
        Remove "Microsoft SQL Native Client"
        Remove "DMA Transport Update for VS 2005 Beta 2"
        Remove "Microsoft MSDN Express Library 2005 Beta"
        Remove all Microsoft Visual Studio Express Editions (such as Visual C# 2005 Express Edition Beta)
        Remove "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Remote Debugger Light" (This step is needed only if Visual Studio is installed on a 64-bit machine)
        Remove "Microsoft Visual J# .NET Redistributable 2.0 Beta Language Pack" (This step is not needed if you have only the English Edition)
        Remove "Microsoft Visual J# .NET Redistributable Package 2.0 Beta"
        Ensure all Visual Studio 2005 products have been removed from your system
        Remove "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Beta Language Pack" (This step is not needed if you have only the English Edition)
        Remove "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Beta"
        You may begin installing the Express product or products you wish to use.
        If you have problems, please visit the Visual Studio Express Forum and report your specific issue.

          Hallo Herr Kosch,

          habe auch diesen Tipp befolgt und alles was irgendwie nach .NET riecht deinstalliert ! Keines der oben aufgeführten Produkte war noch zu finden. Die Fehlermeldung war jedoch die gleiche ! VS 2005 Standard lies sich problemlos installieren. Ich füge mal die einige Einträge der Log-Datei ein. Vielleicht kann mir mit diesen Angaben geholfen werden ...

            Hallo,

            in der Logdatei wird das Produkt {028ED9C4-25EE-4DEE-9CF4-91034BC89B18} alias Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition CTP (SQLEXPRESS) angemeckert. Wenn diese Version nicht mehr auf der Festplatte ist, kann das
            Windows Installer clean up tool verwendet werden, um den Eintrag auch in der MSI-Datenbank zu löschen (Download-URL: http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...D/msicuu2.exe).

              Hallo,

              hatte schon gehofft daß dies die Lösung ist ! Aber ... SQL Server express taucht in den aufgeführten Programmen gar nicht auf . Schiele schon langsam Richtung format C: ! Geht wahrscheinlich schneller.

                die Anzeige in der Systemsteuerung | Software ist nicht entscheidend. Das Clean Up Tool räumt auch die "Leichen" ab, die in der Systemsteuerung nicht sichtbar sind. Ein Versuch mit der CLSID ist es auf jeden Fall Wert!

                Wenn msicuu2.exe nicht hilft, könnte man auch einen 2. Versuch starten:

                  Hallo,

                  msiCuu2.exe konnte nicht helfen. Dort war der Server übrigens auch nicht mehr vorhanden. Habe mich für format C: entschieden. Tat auch mal Not !!
